Title: Money Available Through Small Business Administration For Local Businesses
Sub-Heading: Apply by January 11, 2027
Multiple federal agencies have programs to help residents recover when disaster strikes. In Cannon County, the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience is offering economic injury disaster loans to businesses that experienced financial losses due to Winter Storm Fern.
The economic injury disaster loans, or EIDL, provide working capital to help small businesses, agriculture and aquaculture companies, and most private, nonprofit organizations to meet their required financial obligations and have vital working capital to maintain operations during recovery.
EIDL loans are provided directly through the SBA. No interest is accrued or payments due for the first 12 months of the loan!
Applications for EIDL disaster loans may be submitted online at: https://lending.sba.gov. The deadline for submitting EIDL applications for Winter Storm Fern is January 11, 2027.
Anyone with questions about the EIDL program is welcome to email Public Affairs Specialist Tracy Gale (Tracy.Gale@sba.gov)
