DESCRIPTION:Join Maury Alliance and the Spring Hill Chamber for a joint Women in Business virtual event on Tuesday\, May 5th at 9 am. Speakers Kellye Murphy and Nichole Volk will focus on Leading through Change and excelling in male dominated industries. \n\n\n\n\n\nKellye Murphy - Tourism and Marketing Director for the City of Columbia \n\nKellye Murphy was born in Nashville\, Tennessee\, and spent much of her childhood in various cities throughout the west including New Mexico\, Arizona and California before settling back in her home state of Tennessee where she attended Memphis State University and majored in business finance. After college\, she and husband Blake married and started their family. They moved to Franklin in 1996. Kellye worked for 18 years as the Senior Director of Marketing for 'Visit Franklin'. She served on the boards of Sister Cites of Franklin & Williamson County\, Williamson Chamber's Women in Business\, Tennessee Senior Olympics\, the Tn Chapter of Meeting Professionals International\, Williamson County Hotel & Lodging Association\, and the Greater Nashville Hotel & Lodging Association. She is a past recipient of Meeting Professionals Int'l "President's Award". She also formed the marketing peer group called '360  - Women in Marketing'.\n\nIn 2017\, Kellye and her family relocated to Columbia where she now serves as the Tourism & Marketing Director for the City of Columbia. Kellye is a graduate of the 2019 Class of Leadership Maury (the BEST class!) and created the 'Columbia Marketing Meetup' group for local marketers to meet\, mentor\, encourage\, and share ideas. Kellye and husband Blake have 3 grown children. \n\n\n\n\n\nNichole Volk - Director of Marketing for Williamson Medical Center\n\nVolk received her Bachelor of Science in communications with a minor in marketing from Bradley University in Peoria\, Illinois. A native of central Illinois\, she joins WMC with 17 years of healthcare marketing experience that includes multiple leadership roles at healthcare organizations across the country. Prior to relocating with her family to Williamson County\, Volk oversaw Brand Management and led Regional Marketing at Northwestern Medicine\, a nationally ranked academic health system in Chicago\, Illinois. Prior to that\, she served as the Marketing and Business Development Director at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital\, part of LifePoint Health. In 2010\, she was recognized for producing the highest volume growth in the LifePoint Health System.
