DESCRIPTION:Join Maury Alliance as we celebrate the Grand Opening of a new office complex at the Ridley 4-H Center with an official Ribbon Cutting. The new office complex houses the Ridley 4-H Center staff and the Center for Profitable Agriculture staff. \n\nWilliam P. Ridley 4-H Center\n\n4-H is the youth development program of UT Extension. Preparing young people to become responsible\, capable and involved leaders and citizens of Tennessee and the nation is the goal of the 4-H program. The goal is accomplished by providing educational experiences for young people to gain knowledge\, develop life skills\, live healthy lives\, make intelligent career choices and form positive attitudes values young people will rely on throughout their lives. \n\n\n\nCenter for Profitable Agriculture \n\nThe Center for Profitable Agriculture (CPA)\, a partnership between the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture (UTIA) and the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation\, assists Tennessee farmers in analyses\, evaluation\, development and sustainability of value-added agricultural enterprises.\n\nValue-added enterprises are those that allow producers/growers to earn a greater portion of consumer expenditures by processing\, packaging and/or marketing crops\, livestock or other farm resources\, including agritourism enterprises and direct marketing ventures.
