Retail Real Talk - Marketing the Charm of Your Business with Bernard Porter\, Owner of PCG Digital Media and Galen Longo\, Small Business Specialist at the TSBDC. \n\n\n\nThis quarterly workshop series will feature various speakers and provide retailers an opportunity to network and learn more about a specific area of focus related to the retail community. \n\n\n\nRefreshments and small bites will be provided. \n\n\n\nAbout the Speakers:\n\n\n\nBernard Porter\, PCG Digital Media \n\nBernard Porter is a seasoned entertainment executive with over 30 years of experience. His A&R prowess is nationally recognized. A successful business entrepreneur\, Porter has spent his career developing and securing high profile joint ventures within both corporate and private sectors\, guiding them in all phases of creative media\, production\, marketing and national product launches. In addition\, he has served as an entertainment consultant to many record labels\, broadband networks\, major artists\, large corporations\, state tourism boards as well as to specialty venues\, including the Mall of America in Minneapolis\, Simon Mall properties\, Dave & Busters and Marriott Hotels.\n\n\n\nBernard has appeared in multiple episodes as an entertainment expert on NBC's Emmy Award winning reality daytime series "Starting Over" which is now in syndication.\n\n\n\nPorter was a co-founding partner with Stan Moress\, Mike Martinovich and Al Schiltz that formed the Consortium a top level artist management firm. This partnership was a major component of the team that launched Broken Bow Records. This alignment created an imprint label through Broken Bow Records called BBR/C4- Sony Red distribution.\n\n\n\nC4 encompassed the four partners Moress/Martinovich/Shiltz/Porter in an alignment with president/owner of Broken Bow\, Benny Brown. Porter acted as director of A&R and was instrumental in signing Superstar Jason Aldean.\n\n\n\nPorter is currently Chairman and CEO of PCG Universal. PCG and it's affiliated companies encompass a record label\, management company\, artist development company\, theatrical development company\, digital media company and online education company that provides custom programs to private and institutional clients.\n\n\n\nPCG Artist Development is recognized as the leading career/artist development organizations\, working with established and new emerging artists.\n\n\n\nGalen Longo\, Tennessee Small Business Development Centers\n\nThe Tennessee Small Business Development Centers provides advice\, consulting\, and educational opportunities to help business owners become better business owners\, at no cost.
