The Swanky SouthTM Partners with Sugarlands Distilling for Exclusive Roaming Man Rye Whiskey Barrel Pick in Celebration of New Tennessee State Song
GATLINBURG, TN – On June 21, The Swanky South—music and broadcasting duo Makky Kaylor and Brenda Lynn (Brynn)—traveled to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, to collaborate with Sugarlands Distilling Company, Whiskey University, and key local partners on a one-of-a-kind barrel pick of Roaming Man Rye Whiskey in celebration of the newly named official Tennessee state song, Tennessee in My Dreams, written by Makky Kaylor and performed by Makky Kaylor and Brenda Lynn (Brynn).
In a spirited fusion of Southern tradition and Tennessee talent, the event brought together The Swanky South, Sugarlands, Whiskey University, and representatives from Parkway Wine and Spirits in Spring Hill and Prime & Pint in Columbia—both of which will carry the exclusive barrel of Roaming Man Straight Rye Whiskey selected during the experience.
The day included a behind-the-scenes barrel tour, a live performance by Makky Kaylor and Brenda Lynn (Brynn), and a guided whiskey tasting led by Greg Eidam, Sugarlands Master Distiller. Together, the group selected a unique barrel that showcases the smooth complexity and rich Southern character of Roaming Man Rye.
“This partnership brought together some of Tennessee’s finest,” said Sugarlands Master Distiller, Greg Eidam. “From Makky’s incredible music to our shared love for great whiskey and the passion of our partners at Prime & Pint, Parkway Wine & Spirits, and Whiskey University, this project was a celebration of everything we love about this state.”
On Saturday, August 2, The Swanky South and Sugarlands will celebrate the official release of the selected barrel at Parkway Wine and Spirits in Spring Hill with a tasting event, bottle signings, and a live performance of the state song. That same evening, festivities continue at Prime & Pint in Columbia, where guests can try the debut of the Tennessee Troubadour Cocktail—a signature drink crafted in honor of Makky’s State Designated title and state song using Sugarlands’ Roaming Man Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey.
