Muletown Revue Returns to Cherry Theater Benefitting Watershed Public Theatre

(COLUMBIA, TN) October 19, 2026 – On a map of Middle Tennessee, it's unclear where the city limits of "Music City" are drawn, but If Columbia is not included, it's time to redraw the map. For all the music players and music lovers in the local area, Muletown Revue will rock the night of November 10. The live music event starts at 7pm at Columbia State Community College's 500-seat venue, the Cherry Theater. It's a chance to watch local talent and hear classic songs made famous by the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, the Beach Boys, Santana, the Supremes and others.
Muletown Revue is an annual benefit concert conceived by Dr. Steve Simmons and Dr. Bob Thompson, both of whom are gifted musicians who created the event to showcase local talent and raise funds to support nonprofit organizations in the community.
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit local arts nonprofit Watershed Public Theatre (WPT), Maury County’s professional theatre company, which has partnered with Dr. Simmons to produce the event. As a nonprofit organization, WPT offers many different outreach programs that help educate the youth and strengthen other community nonprofits. Watershed Public Theatre is also in its tenth season presenting plays and musicals, which engage more than 2,000 Middle Tennesseans in performing arts annually.

Several performers of past Muletown Revues will return this November, joining some first-time musicians, to help continue a Columbia musical tradition. Joining Dr. Simmons and Dr. Thompson onstage will be the uplifting sounds of the Williamsport Ukulele Orchestra led by Rick Mullen. Also lending their talents to the stage are many local luminaries, including Jay Arnold, Ashley Barnett, Eva Marie Briggs, Skylar Brooks, Scott Burt, Mario DaSilva, Meco Dooley, Kate Foreman, Sharon Frierson, Scott Gaines, Gary Grau, Ava Grace Hansen, Jean Marie Hull, Libby Johnson, Milly Johnson, Sherry Johnson, Noah Jones, Aaron Law, Alan Long, Angie Manning, Caleb Mathis, Adam McInnes, Elizabeth Minyard, Jeff Minyard, Josh Minyard, Mike Morjal, Eden Pruett, Andrea Russell, Clark Simmons, John Schweri, Rob Smeets, and Greg Winter.

Each $25 admission charge for Muletown Revue will contribute to building an even stronger creative community in Columbia. Admission is free for children under the age of 12. Old memories meet new memories, music veterans meet newcomers on a special night, November 10 at 7pm. The Cherry Theater is located at the Columbia State campus, 1665 Hampshire Pike in Columbia, TN.
