Columbia Mayor Chaz Molder will present the Carnegie Medal to Columbia resident Samuel Hardin Adcock during the September City Council Meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 10.

Adcock was awarded the Carnegie Medal for his actions on May 23, 2025, when he entered the Duck River at Chickasaw Trace Park to help rescue a man who had been swept downstream by the current.
