CASA of Maury County, Inc. (Court Appointed Special Advocates) was organized by a group of concerned citizens in the fall of 2005. Maury County Juvenile Court Judge George Lovell had wanted CASA in the county for several years. Marsha Boren had recently moved to the southern Middle Tennessee area and had been affiliated with CASA in East Tennessee and Emily McKnight had gone through training in Davidson County to become a CASA Volunteer.
