Community Liaison

JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as a community ambassador for developing blood drive contacts, facility donations, education meetings and marketing support in assigned territory.  
 
 
Job Qualifications:
 
Education:   Bachelor’s degree and/or prior related community involvement preferred
 
Licensure:    Valid State vehicle operator’s license
 
Experience: At least 5 years sales and/or community relations experience
 
Skills:            Advanced verbal and written communications capabilities
                       Computer and Internet knowledge
                       Effective interpersonal and networking skills
 
 
Environmental and Working Conditions:
 
Exposure Category III
 
Requires no work with or around blood or blood products. Employees in this position have the option to receive the Hepatitis B vaccine.    
 
 
 
Physical and Mental Effort:
 
Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and driving are required; works in temperature-controlled office setting and in outdoor weather conditions; extended periods of time spent on a computer; requires a flexible schedule and some work in evenings and on weekends; requires periodic interaction with the public, television and radio media.
 
 
 
 
Responsibilities and Standards:
 
Coordinates public speaking opportunities concerning blood donation needs, donation education and distributes marketing and educational materials.
Ensures that messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing and recruitment strategies.
Coordinates with recruitment department for mobile and facility donations.
Provides information and communications between Chattanooga and assigned territory with monthly reports relating to community involvement and donations.
Works with the Marketing department to assist with donor giveaways, drawing winners, photo and speaking opportunities.
Volunteers within the community and serves in local civic organizations.
Schedules key executive leaders in the community to meet with Blood Assurance senior leaders for donation education and appointments.
Assists recruiters and other employees with recruiting advisory board members, generating new collections and creating awareness in the communities served. 
Other:
Maintains donor privacy and/or confidential donor information at all times.
Meets the position’s dress code and grooming standards while presenting self and position professionally to donors, the public and other employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
