JOB SUMMARY

Serves as front line sales and service specialist. Provides excellent client care regarding daily transactions, opening and closing deposit accounts, inquiries, and problem resolution. Performs all transaction responsibilities including, but not limited to consumer or business deposit accounts, safe deposit boxes, processes receipt of cash, checks, and loan payments.
 

JOB DUTIES

  1. Perform client service functions including, but not limited to:
  • identify client; ensure validity
  • ensure balancing percentages and expectations are met
  • endorsement verification(s)
  • opens and closes deposit accounts
  • service charge inquiries
  • buy and sell currency from vault
  • address change(s)
  • file maintenance
  • in-house debit cards
  • assist with online banking needs
  • process stop payments
  • open and service safe deposit boxes
  • check order(s)
  • cash deposits and amount verifications
  • refer client inquiries regarding interest rates
  • answers phone inquires and transfers
  • process wires with operations department
  • ensure cash limits are not exceeded
  • etc.
 
  1. Provide excellent client service including recommendation, promotion, selling, and referral of appropriate bank products and services. Gather information needed to efficiently process transactions, open and close deposit accounts, and complete client requests.
  2. Maintain a well-developed, working knowledge of bank products, services, policies, and procedures.
  3. Maintain up to date knowledge on TriStar Bank’s Trust Building process and strive to consistently meet or exceed the Trist Building score goal set annually.
  4. Ensures compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/ Customer Identification Program (CIP) data collection as it pertains to individuals and business accounts.
  5. Work on clearing BSA/CIP/deposit exceptions timely.
 
  1. Evaluate all clients for additional deposit accounts, cross-sell other bank deposit products and services.
  2. Refer clients to appropriate bankers, when necessary, to promote products and services.
  3. Ensure the retail station is properly supplied.
  4. Builds strong relationships within their team, with other departments, and with bank partners.
  5. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior banking experience required.
  • Prior client service experience preferred.
